Amanda received her B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She currently works as a Metadata and Archiving Specialist for the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) in Asheville, NC. Previously, she was a microbial ecologist at the Southeast Environmental Research Center at Florida International University in Miami. There, she worked on the Florida Coastal Everglades Long-term Ecological Research (FCE-LTER) project.
