Rebecca joined the Coral Reef Information Systems (CoRIS) team in late 2019, where she works as a data manager and 508 compliance lead. She earned her B.A. in Biology in 2015 from St. Mary's College of Maryland, and M.S. in Marine Science in 2019 from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she studied sea whip corals off the mid-Atlantic coast (yes, there are corals in Maryland!). Previously, she has interned at the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center Sandy Hook lab, and worked at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory. Talk to her about data management, 508 compliance, marine science outreach and education, marine science/fisheries research, GIS, scuba diving, corals, you name it!
