M.A. via a philosophy department, my focus was applied ontology. I've held roles as ontologist, consultant, and modeler. My focus areas have been ontology for spaceflight; methodological and ethical topics in AI and ontology development & use; the most abstract ontological concepts; and terminology refinement. In my spare time I seek training and opportunities to serve in water search & rescue, for which I also have a similar project (open to support, and partners). I'm a certified merchant mariner, with various training experiences in rescue operations. I also have interest in helping the marine & ocean research community as a small-boat operator.
CALL TO ACTION: Â Please say hello if I may be your PhD student on a topic of mutual interest; or if you would like to formally collaborate, co-author, or formally support one of my projects.
Ares of Interest: knowledge representation & reasoning, ontology development, conceptual modeling, knowledge graphs, ethics in AI, ethics in ontology, vocabularies, MBSE, taxonomies, maritime operations, spaceflight, space policy, emergency response & management, philosophy.
